Patio Thorn Gamma 6 gets a new hat.
Some of you might remember the Thorn Gamma 6 that I installed on my patio a few years ago (It was originally 80w MBF but I converted it to 35w CDM-T, later on to 50w MBF and then finally 18w SOX).

I recently saw a 35w SOX version going on eBay quite cheap so I picked it up. This one had the wide brim canopy so I decided swap the lid to the one on my patio. Looks a lot better than the normal version!

I agree Cornwall council used to use thousands of these with the Mexican hat style canopy

gammas used to be everywhere here but were rare to see with the larger canopies. a few other places used the large canopys but i only know of one small cul de sac in Aycliffe that has china hat gammas. used to be merc but last time i seen them they were running son. not checked on them for a few weeks so they probably axias now like everything else here.

This actually directs a noticable ammount of light downards. Not much, but it does.
