Nice tidy example. There were only a few examples of Thorn Beta 5 in my area, the similar looking Philips MI50 was the favourite.

These are probably one of the best modern SOX lanterns, although i prefer the metal bowl clips than plastic.

Once the workhorse of most of the B roads in Surrey, now sadly extinct here, save for a few private examples!

With the exception of one road in my town, (Long Lane, now 50watt SON), I bet we still have 90% of ours Very Happy
