The M6 has these too i remember them having really old thermal photo cells on

It really is hilarious when you see working lamps melting their way to freedom through the bowl.

there were loads of these in glasgow in the 80s remember them well.

There’s a handful of these on my work route, still running 150watt SON, very slowly being replaced with V-Maxes.

Loads on the M6 round Warrington, also on the M55 at Preston and the M61 where it meets the M6.

The disco photocells on these are still flashing their way to life and again when going off at dawn...
