Dying sight these days. Love concrete columns, shame they stopped making them.

Got to watch these GEC wavy brackets... they have a tendency to rust out in the join and then just snap clean off!

Which is exactly what happened to a seemingly immaculate example in Tenby, Pembrokeshire, Wales. No one knew how bad it was till the bracket fell off in high winds. Both deep bowl Alpha 9's obviously completely destroyed.

Interesting I missed this photo back then , Saltersford locks in Barnton, Northwich had exactly the same set up when my auntie Christine lived there in the mid 80s
