SON “pillar” footpath lights. Spotted these from the air when I flew into Palma de Mallorca Airport. It was dark when I landed so they were all lit lol. There are hundreds of them along a section of coastline. They seem to be made of thick gauge steel and the bottom of the louvres are recessed into the fitting. Tip: don’t put your hand of them as they bake in the sun all day and must be well over 60’c!

Went for another walk today and I spotted some that looked like they have spent time on Titanic and others that looked like they were brand new.

Different batches of metal, some zinc coated some not ?

Nah I mean they really were brand new. Good that they are still making them or have replacements in stock for when they get too rotten by the sea air and spray.
