Lash-up of the year? Yes, that is exactly what it looks like... All of the "traditional" style lanterns and globes around the Albert dock in Liverpool have been desecrated like this... Most of the ones in the globes, which must have been done earlier are dim and flickers with whole sections of chips out. SHITE!

The only upside is that they are 4000k ones, not much of an upside I’ll admit. I fucking hate the way pretty much every LED refit is daylight. Liverpool Lime Street station used to be lit with Cosmo and it was a great warm atmosphere with an awesome colour. Now they have all been ripped out for LED lanterns which are dimmer, 6500k and seem to have worse CRI, not a good combination! The whole place is gloomy, cold and uninviting now. Who sighs this shit off? CMH was an awesome light source Sad

As much as I like daylight fluorescents, the same cannot be said for LED lamps. Far too often daylight LED lamps have very poor CRI and appear grey or purpleish. They make the places they illuminate look horrendous. Mad

as long as it shaves a few pence off the energy account we dont care less what it looks like is the general attitude to installing led lights today
