LED "Neon" with odd flicker.

This is the atrium of the multiplex Cineworld in the New Mersey Shopping Park in Speke.
It's not been open very long and the actual cinema itself is quite impressive. The super screen is awesome and the sound is *very* impressive.

However, the atrium and areas leading to the screens are lit quite heavily by these LED "neon" style highlights and it just looks off. There is just something wrong with it that just made it horrible to look at.
I then discovered why. They shimmer quite badly but you can only see it when you move your eyes or head side to side quite quickly like an old CRT screen.
A cool effect ruined by mains flicker!
Camera makes it look pinkish but it is a very deep red.
