It's quite common to see G.E.C Z8600's with failed lampholders and lamps that are in various stages of making bids for freedom, and there are quite a few near me that I know of but this is the first Urbis ZX series lantern that I've seen like this.
This still works dawn till dusk too!

yes the MRL gec 250 son is terrible for bowl hole burnouts

Use to happen in Milton keynes, normally on the grid roads where it was believed the lawn mower men were bumping the columns, so broke the lamp holder. Some were as bad as this, others not so!

Funny enough this coulumn is located about a meter away from the kerb on a grass verge so it may be getting bumped by the grascutters too! It's on the short bit of that road which does not have double-yellow lines on it and you often see loads of cars parked up during the day and loads of lorries parked up overnight but I don't think is it getting hit by them.
