Liverpool Neon "neon sign"
This is located on an old dockside warehouse unit near Costco wholesale. It's been there for ever but I can't remember ever seeing it working.
From the look of the place, I always thought that the company had folded and the place was derelict but they do have an active website with some fairly recent projects in their gallery.
All the transformers must be inside, you can see all the cables grouping together and entering the brickwork.

Number 3 has lost it's neon. I bet this would look great on, I wonder what colour it is?

There's still nothing like a genuine neon sign, it's a shame that they have falllen out of favour. In this case LED can't be blamed as this happened decades ago. There's a tyre place in Birkenhead (Frank Bather & Son Ltd) that was probably built in the 60s that has neon signs that have I have never seen working but would look amazing.

It looks like clear tubing so it'll be ordinary neon colour.

I do think the proper coloured neon looks far better than the phosphor coated stuff with the mercury vapour filling.
