RGB LED Building floodlighting
|
The Royal Liver Building in Liverpool.
It used to be lit from some big 2kw linear halide lamps in some nice big Philips floods mounted at ground level (pictured in my gallery somewhere) which are still there but now unused. Instead the building it now lit by LED floodlights mounted on the actual building, something LED is good for I suppose as you can have very thin and long, or any shape floodlight that you want or need for the installation.
They usually light up the building white but they are fully RGB enabled and they often use them in conjunction of lightshows and other events held at the Pier Head.
It really is quite impressive when it is going and cycling through colours and various effects tbh!
