Mercury starved aircraft lights. Noticed this on a recent flight from Vienna to Frankfurt on a Lufthansa A320. When they were switched off for take-off (night flight) and then turned back on heavily dimmed, a few of them were noticeably pink. Was only like this when they had the cabin lights dimmed though. When they had them on full, they were slightly dimmer than the rest.

My dimmable illuminated ceiling lights go a pinky colour on the lowest brightness level. They are Philips t8 36w, 2700k.

I've been on quite a few aircraft and this is the first time I've seen it tbh. All of the new airframes use all LED now anyway.

I've observed this many times on my travels. I'm pretty certain they're T8s, Kev.
