Long abandoned GEC Z8420 Clearmain
These have been standing guard over a disused quay along Liverpool's pier head for decades. 
Just along the waterfront from the new cruise ship terminal.
Look to be in reasonable condition considering they have been exposed to the sea air and spray since the early 1960's! 
Usually seen with a couple of Cormorants perched on the outreach arms drying their wings.

Looks like the sight of these with a Cormorant perched on either outreach arm is an iconic sight as one of the paving slabs outside Liverpool Lime Street station that I've not noticed before has a carving of ecactly that on it! I'll get a pic the next time I'm there.
