Have to light this in the summer snd do a video watch all the flies fry infront of it
I don't have a KW ballast but two 400's do the trick
Lovely lamp!
Our local Fine Fare, (now Asda), use to be all lit with these!, they survived well into the early 90s!
Must have been one hell of a big floodlight. Were they those conical style ones?
Cool don't they do 2 types long neck and short?

Mark, No these were on the INSIDE!!!!, there was about 50 of them, (must have been quite a lighting load to run 7 days a week)!, the fittings were huge square things with a tiny little GLS lamp next to them as a pre light for when the mercs were warming up!
Omg they sound so cool rich!
Would have loved to have seen those run-up.

I tried in vain to find pictures of it all last night, but came up with none, it was build by Fine Fare in 1976, (the MBFs would have been the original installation), the lighting was changed in 1989 to `end to end` rows of 70watt Philips fittings, (now gone for LED)!, but I remember the mercs all too well as a kid, the whole store was lit at a total of something like 3,100,000 lumens!

Sounds amazing Rich!

Looks like the seller has more as another one has just appeared. Might be worth e-mailing to see how many he has.
I have one of these, no ballast at the moment, though.
