UK GE 12w 12v 7' MR11
Nice UK-made MR Halogen lamps.
Interestingly the dichroic coating is a greenish blue when lit rather than the normal reddish orange that you normally see.

No matter how efficient or reliable LED retrofit lamps become... they can never match the awesome sparkle from the reflectors and the sometimes beautiful colours you get from the dichroic coating...

Totally agree!

I want to buy one of those catenary wire halogen spot kits but they ain’t cheap!
Id have it along the top of one wall with the spots washing down the wall in intervals.

Parents used to have one of those in the kitchen from about 2005-2010 when i lived there i bloody hated it lol. One day i took a wire out of the inside of it and told them it was broken and un repairable so that i could put a 2x36w Fluorescent up there! Think the fluorescent was up there for 5 years before my sister ran the bath above and flooded the kitchen below and it brought the whole ceiling down! Good job i screwed it to the Joists LOL

I’d have it dimmed and used as background lighting. Really expensive, might be cheaper to just build my own using normal catenary wire and buy the lighting heads off eBay. I’ve got a plenty of DC power supplies that would suffice. I’d want low profile gimbal ones tbh.

I have a small supply of these. They were much much better than shitty GU10 halogen the key was a good tranny and a good lamp holder
