U.S.A vs Europe: 1000w High-Pressure Sodium
Two 1000w SON-T lamps which probably couldn't be more different!

On the left is a GE Lucalox which is a high voltage lamp.
And on the right is a Radium RNP-T which is a low voltage type.

Check out the differences in the arc tube length and diameters! So what do you prefer? Long & thin or short & girthy? 
It's interesting to see these two types of SON lamps lit together.

Was quite bright! 260,000 lm of golden yellow goodness!

The radium looks like a more intense light what gear did you use to light the US HV SON? I dare say I expect the lucalox to last longer in service.

I used my 1/2kw gearbox that has two of those Venture step up transformer ballasts in it. Ran this quite well and is quite a handy bit of kit tbh.

The Radium lamp is actually made by narva. Osram stopped making there own 1000W SON lamp (Exept the Planstar 1000W 400V) with closure of shaw
