GE 1000w SON-TD
1x GE Lucalox 1000w SON-TD lamp with RX7s-24 caps.
I bet these things are very bright and provide an awesome beam when precisely positioned in the focal point of a reflector system.

Thats some arc length! Shocked , what striking voltage do these need?

Am surprised the heat doesnt make the glass bulge

Not glass but quartz, if an arc tube wont melt than neither will this!
The arc voltage of this is 250v IIRC so 415v gear only!

I've had ventrue arc tubes melt on halides through the glass and then blow up the toughened glass on the low bay!! Surprised

Pretty standard for venture halides though eh? Smile I'm surprised the arc tube on that CSI PAR64 doesn't melt... The size of it for 1000w!!!
