250w Philips Master SON-T PIA Plus: Ignition. Shown a couple of seconds after striking. The lamp glows a lovely white for several seconds before the sodium vapourises and joins the discharge. Obviously a fair amount of Xenon in there. Runs up bloody quick too!

My 50watt Master does the exact same thing!, comes on almost white, them out runs the other two to full out put! Very Happy

Lush. Some of mine have what looks like a ball of light in the arc tube at switch on
