Aqua-Signal 24vDC Inverter PCB
Showing both sides of the board from of an Aqua-Signal 1 1503-007 24vDC inverter for 2 x 20w fluorescent lamps from 1994.
This was very hard to photograph as the conformal coating is *very* shiny and the board has to be placed an angle in order for the reflection not to obscure any details.
The two main NPN transistors doing all the work are some BD249C's.
There are a lot of spaces which have not been populated so they obviously use this PCB layout for other models.

The rest of the space could be for the charging circuitry of a normal EM inverter ?

That looks well made. Are the transistors operated in free air without heatsinks? It must be efficient if so, or perhaps they're clamped to the metal case?

They are clipped to the side of the case.
