Interesting theyve done it on a saturday!

Same as how they wired the Mini-Iridiums here once the pole was put in. All pre wired no less. Isolate and unwire the SOX and remove. Drop the cable down the pole, clamp the lamp on the pole top whilst the sparky wires it all together though the access hatch... All under in 5 mins per pole I recon. Just a shame it was not SON!

Its still in mass numbers on the old concrete columns, Cheshire East seem to be singling out all the steel poles first for LED re-fit, (including the ones recently fitted with SON-T in Arcs)!, all our original concrete columns in our road have either been, knocked down in winter, or just crumbled away with age!, theres only a full road full of ally columns still with SON on, but the lamps haven`t been changed for well over 6 years so you can guess whats coming next.

The sign lights were done last year in LED!!, its the street lighting that has waited till last!, but its weired how they have got rid of the SON first. The only SON/SOX left now are what exists on the old concrete columns, every single ally or steel post has been LEDed!, its amazing how fast they have done it too!, its all been done in the space of two weeks.
