The Wonders of LED lighting This is a classic example of what's happening to the pole sign lighting around Leeds. The traditional fluorescent lighting was replaced with examples as shown here when the PFI was started in 2006. Such failures as these are not uncommon, In fact strobing, blinking or complete failure is frequent around the city sadly with many examples left to fail totally. I have reported this sign light some weeks back and as you can see it has not been repaired. I have reported this sign light some weeks back and as you can see it has not been repaired.

Theyre ripping their pfi out this lot to go LED invest to save scheme its called AKA bollocks

Such a shame. The Iridium/SON combination is so much better than the ghostely grey light LED gives out, most of which still using the same lamps 10 years on. Still it's not their money their spending!

Our side streets here are starting to have SON removed too now for LED.
