Philips Dyna Vision
Big thanks to our host Kev for this baby!, they’re sadly ripping them out in mass now, which is a crime considering how much these must have cost!

This ballast looks very interesting. i may need to track one down to pla with it... maybe you can disable the ignitor and use it as aconstant current source (kind of like a limited leak transformer...)

Think this was from the box I brought, 4 of our 7 sections of our Arcs 2005 outer ring road changed to these from Tridonic mag to node electronic in 2014, least they were still replacing ballasts in 2021. Good to see you've found use for one Cool

Ah, the plot thickens Very Happy, so you brought these Pat?, thank you for that Cool, yes it’s a shame as I bet these were expensive when fitted?, they’re unusual in how they whistle when running a lamp up! Razz

Yep, must have been very costly converting hundreds in 2014. Wonder if these were still available until recently or would the contractors have to abandon the node and throw in a mag ballast? Was a sad sight seeing skips full of Arcs, had to save some ballasts Cool

I wonder what is so special about this ballast for 250W SON lamps?
