will there be a youtube video on the lamp? (I know you did one of your other one but any excuse to see these lamps fired up) 290W ballast losses! wow wonder how warm the ballast gets... I got 2 of these 1KW SONs on its way to me silly cheap on ebay right now... shame i never picked up one of the 1KW Ballasts while they where also silly cheap on ebay. guess ill make do with a 600W son choke in parallel with a 400W merc choke and a 70W son choke for good measure

I dont think the 2Kw 400V one is that different but the 240V one oh thats going to be fun!

Are you sure those PFCs are good?, Philips only give a 20watt loss for this?

Measured 105uf. 20w loss for this? A 70w choke probably has more than that lol.

whats the Actual current draw measured by say a fluke or something on the mains live wire? (just incase that meter is a bit off by a few watts) and what is its PF with all those PF Caps heh. (I need to fire mine up but my chokes are all buried away) also the Lamp is Rated at 1Kw but its actual power could be off by a few... thats one for James to tell
