PL-S Adapters: Sylvania vs Smart & Brown. Packaging.

One "West German" (so pre 1990) Sylvania Lynx-Diamant LXDA 511S/240 vs a UK made S&B DP 188014 adapter for 1 x 5/7/9 or 11w PL-S lamps.

Smart & Brown looks very commercial while the Sylvania is in obvious retail packaging.
Both have suffered with age: the Sylvania plastic has heavily discoloured and gone hard while the S&B logo has faded.

The "75" on the Sylvania packaging is the equivalent incandescent wattage of the 11w PL-S lamp which is bundled with the adapter but to be honest these are best used with 9w or lower due to the length of these lamps when fitted into the adapter!
