This 11w Philips PL-Electronic has finally died after being in a table lamp in the living room since 2014!
Used pretty much every evening from when it gets dark to about midnight.
Not bad, since it looks like the tube failed and not the electronic ballast!
The blackening is much darker in real life, the iPad camera makes it look much lighter than it really is.

I've stuck in a well ripened GE but when that dies I might have to dig out one of the Dutch made version of this. I bet that will last for ages! I'm not sure how many hours this has clocked up but surely being used every single day from when it gets dark to and sometimes past midnight must be a fair few!

Presumably your table lamp runs the lamp cap down which will also increase the life of the ballast.

I remember stealing loads of these out of the chalet we staid in at Butlins back in 2009. I've not actually run them since i 'saved' them 12 years ago, might be worth me digging them out and giving them a good run at some point.
