Aurora CFL Cabinet lights (Sylvania MicroLynx 'F')

Two Aurora surface-mount cabinet lights for 1 x GX53 CFL lamps. Lampholder is made by VS.

These lamps were originally developed by Sylvania as the MicroLynx F and was designed to replace tungsten halogen lamps used in furniture lighting.

Inside these little lamps is a small diameter fluorescent tube that has been formed into a flat grid behind a prismatic cover.
The very compact electronic ballast is in the lamp base behind a metal disc that acts as both a reflector and heat shield.
