28w Sylvania Lynx QE 840 Fitted in the DIY 2D adapter Mk1.5. Much better colour than the 3500k Thorn that was in before. Looks a lot better in that shade than the 16w which looked a little lost. The shade, a glass JAKOBSBYN from IKEA (available in different finishes) is quite large!

Be interesting to see how long this 2D lamp lasts as ive heard these are a bit poor

It’ll be getting more cycles than hours and as this ballast gives a good preheat, I see no reason why it won’t last a very long time lol. The 16w that was here and the one which is still in the fitting at the bottom of the stairs still looks brand new...
