LED downgrade in Boots
I went into my local Boots chemist to pick up some things and became aware that the store suddenly seemed a lot more clinical somehow since my last visit. And there is the reason above, the twin warm white fluorescents had been replaced with horrible 'Gray' LEDs that produce half the light and only downwards. Perhaps they believe that they will sell more beauty products if they use lighting that makes people look ill?

Mostly the same here in most big shops now sadly

they've had a similar 'upgrade' in my local asda, horrible glare cold light. my local sainsburys also have led now, but its a nice warm colour with acrylic panels hanging down from the ceiling to diffuse the light

Not what you want to hear but I've seen some new installations that I've been very impressed with...

I agree that some LED installations are impressive but this isn't one of them. It's part of the picture near the prescription sign which is dark and shows this to be a poor installation.

The light level look acceptable, (could be just the camera though), but I think clinical was what they were going for, it makes sense in here.
