I think its Philips if I remember rightly. It's freezing tonight so not looked yet.

Be interesting to see what the lamp looks like. As these have built in ignitors the lamp might light until the ignitor cuts out?

Well a new lamp came today and I have just tried it, though straight away I didn't hold out much hope as the old lamp looked fine. Didn't work so is now on my workbench. Bypassed the light sensor circuit and works fine!
 It's a very simple, old school circuit using standard, easily obtainable components so will be easy to repair.
