Rusty Revo 80w Bayonet Cap Fixture

Some of you may remember the reasonably neat wiring job I did on the Thorn Voyager 2x8w bulkead the other day... Well, here to redress the balance, is this rough-as-toast rewire I've just done on this rusty old Revo fixture! The original PFC capacitor was one of them large block things that have a tendency to leak nasty carcinogens everywhere, so I replaced it with a 8uF originally from a Sonpak. The 4-pin starter was dead, so I've also replaced that with a standard 2-pin socket and an electronic starter. I've also replaced the majority of the cabling as the insulation was starting to look a bit iffy.

I've taken out the vintage Cryselco Daylight tube that it came with and fitted the BNOS (1974) Philips 80w White you see here, which I have plenty of.
