Here you see the dismantled overview of the Designplan Lighting commercial grade 4ft linear fluorescent fixture. This thing tips the scales at a hefty 9 Kg!

The chassis is made from thick steel finished with a tough layer of hammered effect paint. The polycarbonate diffuser is part of the fixture and not an optional add-on.

This has an Optima by May & Christe ballast and came fitted with a Durastart electronic starter, unsure if that's original or not though.

Looks very well built, unlike B+Qs modern fluorescent battens that don`t even have power factor correction! Shocked

It sure is, obviously had some thought put into it and is over engineered (my favourite!), will probably survive a nuclear blast! This no longer has PFC technically​ as the capacitor's knackered lol, but at least it was fitted from the factory.
