What was up with original gear?
I got a few 85w quickstart ballasts with this fixture, all fucked. Don't start up reliably, the tube flicker severely for ages when it does strike up, tubes are under-driven, little to no cathode heating etc.
That’s a shame mine does that though in the cold brand new tubes don’t start on QS
Can you bring them to the meet?

Now I've sorted this one out, I've got the other empty spine out ready to get working (in one form or another). I'll have another try with the old ballasts first and see how they do now it's a bit warmer

I’ve got 3 new osram Lamps in mine and one used atlas. The atlas works every time all 3 osrams refuse to start in the cold if you swop the lamp around the fitting works

Interesting, it could have just been the cold I guess or these unused Sylvania lamps? When I first got these, it was warmer weather and a quick test revealed they did appear to work. When I 'properly' tested them at a later date it was mid winter and freezing cold. As I say I'll give them another try and go from there

Also they like an earth running the whole length of the fitting
