DW Windsor Kirium LED
Had these picked up from DW last week, for an new housing site in aston clinton in buckinghamshire. Not the best lantern to wire up / work on,

These are very common in Buckinghamshire but aren't the best design

These are becoming very popular a load of year 1999 ZX3 400W SON lanterns in Truro have just been replaced for these on nodes. Is it just me or is 1999 not that old Question Question or am I just getting old?

DW Windsor lanterns are usually really nice, but don't like this one

Manufacturers used to expend serious time and effort into designing an optical system that ensures maximum and even light distribution whilst minimizing glare... Now they just whack extreamly bright point light sources on a slab of metal and call it a "streetlight"... I bet these are right glarebombs!

The Kirium was starting to be a popular used lantern here, (before the Ampera took over), and whilst I do like the colour and light spread of them, the single module ones, as above, are proper glare bombs when mounted on a 4 metre column!
Mounted at 10 metres they look perfect.

I’m not a huge fan of the Kirium either. It looks like the bastard love child of the Thorn R2L2 and the Urbis Axia 1. Not to mention the ones around my area are dropping like flies.
