Transtar 8' 85w ballast let the smoke out! Noticed a funny smell in the garage recently. Thought it was the newly refurbished Thorn PP65 that was on test, but found this in one of the 8' 85w fixtures I saved recently. This must have been like this when I got it as I hadn't even opened this particular fixture yet. Oh well in the bin it goes, double wrapped as it stinks!

Still unsure Rich. Kev said Courtney Pope? There is no labels or markings in them that I've found

Danny, yes it has! Smells horrendous. The fitting is covered in tar too, it'll be fun cleaning it off Confused
