Dint in the grey sided atlas pop pack

"Hi mate, thanks for bidding and travelling an hour each way to collect, oh yeah there's a massive dint in the side that I didn't bother mentioning in the description"

*sigh*

Here's the reason I'm probably not going to give this fixture a complete restoration. I'm still going to give it a thorough clean up and respray inside the spine as it's rather rusty in there, but I don't think this is worth a full restore due to this damage. What do you think?

It was cheap enough and it's still a lovely fixture, but I wish people would mention this stuff.

Is there no way you can gently try and tap it out with a rubber mallet or something ?

Shame about the dent, but it is otherwise a rather nice classic fitting. Smile

That'll come out no problem!

It would of course be better if it didn't have it but its not that bad. You could perhaps use a vice with blocks of wood to flatten it out.

It is worse than it looks in the picture, I don't think I'd ever get the corner right again but I will give it a go

The trough Atlantic 3 I got from the Ever Ready site had a dent just like this in the side, infact probably in the same place as when we hacked it down with a sprinkler pipe it landed on its back on a pile of bricks. I just repainted it as it was and installed it you wouldn’t know it was there
