It certainly is! It is exactly how my first one started
So it seems to start around 1800 hours?, I’m going to monitor this closely now, as once this sets in, it spreads like a wildfire!
Yeah it did on my first one, is there any point in me finishing mine off?
Might as well use them til they go black... Get your monies worth lol.
It’s clear now there is an issue with this batch, but I suppose I didn’t expect it to do this in free air, but it’s obvious what their all going to do now! I think I’ll run this for a few more days just to see how long it takes for the plague to take over

I am tossing up whether or not to pull mine and stick the 70w SON up i have planned??
Will be interesting to how this goes over the next few weeks!
A 50 would be ample where yours is Dan, or do you not have many 50s?
I dont have as many interesting 50ws as i have 70w. So a 70w was planned first then i was going to chuck a dual ballast in and do a 50w next

Wow, well 6 days on and there’s now a definite band forming around the U bend , once this damage to the IR layer sets in, it’s toast!
this one has to be the worst out of the whole batch surely?
I don’t know?, I never monitored the others like this one?, the Fitzgerald Taurus I used them in had an opal bowl, so I only noticed them when they went totally black!
