Cheers for the comment. I just use a macro lens and an ND1000 filter. The filter means you can actually look through the viewfinder directly and see the arc and also the low shutter speed means flicker isn't an issue.

Excellent closeup shot! The quality of light output from these Iwasaki lamps is first class.
