Venture 400w Uni-Form Pulse Start: Arcstream

Quite an interesting arc tube on these Uni-Form lamps.
Quite nice and bright with a crisp white colour.
Quite a substantial halide dose in these! The arc is also quite thin compared with some of the other 400w halide lamps that I have seen.
It does effect the colour of the light which is emitted from the bottom of the lamp quite noticeably.

Me too, i used to hate venture but they have grown on me in the last 6 months to a year

In the last few years, the Venture lamps seem to have improved considerably while Philips etc. have been doing the opposite.

Strange that it have an exhaust tip. Venture said in their website that their Uni-Form Pulse-Start lamps are tipless.
Also: I doubt if it is actually suitable for horizontal burning as the arc is very thin and the upward bow looks very severe, so it is very close to the upper wall of the arctube: A thing that can cause the arctube to bulge or explode.
Special Venture horizontal MH lamps, shouldn't exhibit such an arc.
