Osram PowerBall 70w SUPER 4Y
Showing x2 70w Osram Powerball HCI-ET SUPER 4Y ceramic metal halide lamps in colour 830.
These lamps have a very good colour and are quite bright.

These are rated to a lifetime of 24,000 hours to 50% failures but quite interestingly they have a 95% survival rate to 16,000 hours!
They also maintain a very decent lumen maintenance factor throughout their lives.

There is a seller on eBay selling lots of 5 of these on eBay for £25 so it was rude not to considering these go for upwards of £40 each at the wholesalers.

interesting to see that these have a more traditional 70Mm bulb as apposed to the 54Mm bulb you normally see on E27 metal halide lamps, im guessing here there specifically targeting 70W SON-E lamps also interesting to see that these have an end dimple, normally thats a GE only thing on lamps of this size Smile

They are certainly brighter than standard SON lamps anyway.

These were a good find, they mistakenly sent one of mine as a 50W too! Have you put any of these into service?
