GE 150w Arcstream
Two NOS UK Made single ended 150w metal halide lamps.
Nice colour from this and the small arc goes very well in a Thorn OSQ150 projector flood.

Really surprised these were still being made in 2007 and had not gone over to CMH? Must be some of the last to leave leicester!

Probably some of the last to go.

Nice lamps indeed, this was one of my developmemts and the outer jackets contain what were affectionately known as the TWATS. Stands for Thick-Walled Arc Tubes. The earlier models in thinner quartz unfortunately used to explode sometimes at the end of production when thry went around the FARTS machine which checked 100% of lamps for colour and arc voltage. That was built by the Apprentices around the factory's first robot arm, and they came up with a more amusing name for their Fully Automated Robotic Testing System Smile

Lol! It's really great hearing information and stories like this about what went on behind the scenes Smile
