Proper halides!, I`ve got 2 boxes of these in our work stock now! Cool

One of the best, this was made around the peak time of the HPI technology, before cost savings crept in and started unwinding the past decades of continuous improvement. This one has a defect though, the getter has been burned somehow! It should appear silvery but is yellow with nitrides.

It hasn't lost vacuum on the outer glass has it?

Didn't notice that tbh. Starts and runs up just fine though.

It could have lost the seal on the outer, or just a factory defect. Either way, will be fine for a long time. The getter is really only needed towards end of life. It captures hydrogen that originates from moisture traces from glass parts, which makes ignition of old lamps progressively more difficult.
