Their definitely a bad batch, but every electrode is the same!, it’s not just a case of the tungsten shank melting away, they just don’t have them!, surely if this was some manufactured defect Philips would have quickly picked up on it?

Unless they did pick up on it, but with sales of these dwindling because of LED, they could no longer afford to scrap a whole production run?
