Me too as when I saw that lamp, I had to get it no matter what! It is totally USA style considering its opal coating or what they call soft white and the 3 way wattage rating under the 200-260V

A nice bit of history, on both parts Very Happy
Even after 33 years, the now solidified fuel (aka the elephants foot), is still putting out something like 10,000 Roentgens per hour, scary stuff Shocked

I know right! Said to be extremely fatal if you go near it for a very short time! Good job that the lamp was made in Holland and hopefully it would have stayed in the UK during the 80s in which likely it had

never seen one in those wattages. in the US it either 30/70/100 or 50/100/150 watts. you can still buy these. and use them in normal sockets 50 watt first. then solder a jumper wire from center to outer ring and now u have 100 watt GLS to get around the incandescent GLS bans
