Both tubes look very unused

A great sign as 1 reason they could have been used recently due to the no blackening and the clean condition

Nice to see t12 and especially 8ft still in use.

The store i got all of my new carpets from was full of 8 foots. Until they were all replaced for LED. Some were removed but others were juat left up above the ceilings

Bit off small relief to hear that there are remaining 8 footers but disconnected, better than being thrown away. LEDs just make store interiors look depressing and too sterile

I only know a few places with 8ft fittings still in use.

I've got a twin 100w 8ft fitzy in my room it's a bit overkill but i wanted to run 8ft for a bit. It'll be getting replaced with a 5ft twin europa eventually

And I thought my 2 18w tubes was bright enough in my room Laughing

I do like to see what I'm doing lol

I like bright rooms i cant be doing with a bare 8w cfl it just too dim. Fluorescents forever for me.
jonny-m   [09 Aug, 2019 at 11:36 PM]
Yep

Oliver, it would be great if you can get pics of the 8 footer fluorescents in the venues you know!! Danny and Jonny I am the same I like to be in bright CFL and fluorescent lit rooms

I'll try to get pictures next time I'm at the locations.

Yeah, I couldn't stand the B22 pendant my room originally had. It had to go! My room is small so two 18w fittings light it up well. Plus the 4, 8w fittings under my desk Very Happy I also light bright rooms too.

Talking about 18W fluorescents, I've picked two thinking they were but turned out to be 15W!!

Good on them not being fooled by the LED salesman!
Flurofan96   [13 Aug, 2019 at 02:00 PM]
I hear you! This was a total treasure because now it has come to the stage that even small independent type of shops are getting fooled by the LED companies

To be honest with the price of 8ft lamps now, I’d be looking to replace them as well even if I had a supply of spares.
Flurofan96   [14 Aug, 2019 at 12:27 PM]
Whatever, Id replace them with 6 footer fluorescents, just not LED!!!!! Ever since the LED lighting gotten into the supermarket, its made being in the store so depressing and bland thanks to the nature of the light spectrum from LEDS!!! Best to keep the 8 footers as collection items and run up the spare tubes for leisure
FrontSideBus   [14 Aug, 2019 at 12:54 PM]
Yeah I’d still replace with fluorescent or CMH...
Flurofan96   [14 Aug, 2019 at 11:22 PM]
Anything is better than LED
