Got some of these in their previous name of 'Tropical Daylight'

@Slyspark: Thanks for info, will keep an eye out for them if they happen to cross my path at the car boot sales in the Reading/Berkshire area - having like a whale of a time finding all these Cool Tropical Daylight, what a nice name Idea

Tropical Daylight is actually a specia/different colour in that its actually just plane colour 54/765 but the special thing about it is of course, back in pre 1990's Colour 54 did not exist here and the Daylight name was already taken, hence tropical daylight Smile they where only sold in 15W form here for X ray boxes, but british tropical daylight tubes in larger and smaller sizes where made for export Smile

very cool find on this Northlight Colour 55 example, does it have a red afterglow?
Flurofan96   [27 May, 2024 at 11:19 AM]
lightbulbfun: Yes it does indeed have a red/terracotta afterglow and it does show up on the camera flicker effect (not in this pic) and oh interesting of how the Tropical daylight is just a colour 54 standard Smile

Are these 965 deluxe halophosphors? Osram have very similar lamp that called Graphica, but it is 950, not 965.

@dor123: Yep that is 965 deluxe halophosphor, this tube Smile

Excellent find Peter! Haven't seen many Thorn tubes in this colour!
Flurofan96   [28 May, 2024 at 09:11 PM]
@Beta 5: thanks so much, I was so over the moon when I saw that in the car boot sale and when I powered it up, I was greeted with this snowy like bluish white glow that was not like any typical daylight tubes, adds to the thrill of getting more Thorn branded fluorescent tubes this year
