This design seemed quite common in recent years, I don't think they did too well with magnetic gear but were probably ok with cooler running electronic. What brand ballast has this got inside?

I'll take a look inside it tomorrow after I finish work - it is now in my shed and its not so nice weather (too chilly for June!!!)

So I took a look at it inside and it is a Tridonic electronic ballast, that is made in China

Sounds like it's the same as the one mine came with Smile
