I wonder why that's failed? Doesn't look like it's been cooked with a stuck starter as the varnish isn't particularly brown or chalky and the terminal block doesn't look yellowed?

If this ballast tripping the circuit breaker, it shorting.

Not looking too brown, so if it's seen a stuck starter, it's not been for long. Sometimes you just get unlucky...

Could of been on a 3p supply with a lost neutral that sometimes causes this

Ah well, you'll be able to fix this now with one of the ballasts you got from me today

Thanks, Slyspark for the 36W ballasts and the Philips Streamlite, plus the 65W tubes and the energy saving bulbs

Should be a nice little fix, you see so many fluorescent battens chucked away for less now, a simple ballast change will get this one going again
|
