These always have very nice neat etches, would be interesting to see how well these last too.

Same, like in fact i am slightly tempted to use one as the replacement for the GE 40W tube in the Crompton Crompack T12 fixture but at the same time I do want the GE colour 25 as the replacement I'll need to do some restoration to that fixture too

Nice lamp, should have a decent lifespan in a domestic setting does rapid start have an earth strip running the length of the tube?

@Patrick: Oh totally! Funnily enough they don't have that earthing strip

These were a reasonable lamp. I mean, never going to do the hours that a GB Philips T12 would, but these were decent enough. Sadly, they went downhill later on, tho the worst T12 Sylvania ever made were the last generations of 8' - those were just awful and you'd be lucky to get much over a year from one.

@slyspark: How much would these RS 135s will last on standard magnetic switchstart gear based on 3 to 6hr usage I'm tempted to use one for my computer room once the OSRAM Basic White goes EOL or if I get bored of it

should expect a fairly decent lifespan, unlike the 8'
