just be aware that these portable lights, are very bad for the tube, they under drive the tubes by a lot and will rapidly sputter the cathodes, so dont use any tubes in it you care about, it would be fun to rebuild one of these lights with a proper ballast to drive the 4W T5 at full power Smile

Yes sure Smile I mean it is a Chinese made tube so I'm not too bothered about it but at the same time I am careful - I actually got a Sylvania 4W T5 tube that came in a PIFCO battery powered lantern that I managed to run via a 12V mains adapter - took out that Sylvania tube cos it is of vintage value and happens to have an American nomenclature

@Danny: I decided to use that GE one instead of the triphosphor Kengo daylight one Smile
