I wonder why no one ever made a CFL with bare uv tube, then coated the inside with phosphor?

Yeah looks like a lynx, I’ve got a couple in service in a few rise-and-fall lamps.

This CFL has a programmed preheat as that will preserve the electrodes and the light quality due to the enclosing is SO COMFY as well as bright enough to see what you do. I have installed it last night in my bedroom instead of the Philips Essential daylight CFL as now the weather is cooling down and at the end of a hard working day I just want to feel relaxed as the 2700K light enables me to sooth myself down. Enclosed CFLS like this are so comfy to use that LED versions are still bloody harsh and hurt my eyes
