Costco Wholesale Warehouse Halide High Bay Fittings
Following the comments that most of these sites were now running LED retrofits I made a point of looking more closely today. I can confirm that the Milton Keynes one is still running halides it appears. Though for how long remains to be seen.

Sorry it's not the best photo, they're a long way up!

At least they are still halide. They would be better with CDM-MW in

Ah... so they did run open rated lamps... I was never sure as it was hard to see (height and glare) if there was a glass cover on the bottom of the reflector.
I remember my local Costco (Haydock) having coated lamps, not clear.

The glare does make it hard to see what's there with the eye, at least with the camera I was able to crank the exposure all the way down. Venture or not, they're keeping on top of maintenance. Very little apparent colour drift, never mind lamps out. Curious to know what these fittings are as well, have to wonder if there's some fancy overly complex ballast in there as one thing that's conspicuously absent is the usual mains frequency flicker.

Wouldn’t surprise me if they are American autotransformer types. I’ve been in an American Costco and they are completely identical even down to the furniture in the food court bit lol.

Check out the LED low bays in the cold room... they are *very* impressive tbh. I’ve just been lol, should have got a pic...
